Review by AprilI have been searching a long time for a great set of Vegas themed papers and embellishments, and I have finally found them! Sandylion recently came out with a Vegas themed line and asked ScrapFriends to review it. Since my trip to Vegas was in 1998, my pictures have graciously been waiting on a shelf just begging to be scrapped. With this in mind, I was looking forward to using the new Sandylion collection, as well as reminiscing over my trip to Vegas.
For this review I received, two sheets of eight different 12x12 patterned papers, one 4x12 Las Vegas Word Sticker Package in Matte With Glitter, and one 4x12 Casino Icons Sticker Package in Matte Litho. The Las Vegas word sticker sheet was filled with over 40 different words and images, and several of them had a glossy covered glitter that really made them sparkle! The Casino Icon stickers had 18 different sparkly Vegas images like dice, stars, a cocktail, chips, and more, and all of them were printed on a clear material that makes them almost impossible to see after you apply them because they just blend in. The collection colors were made up of bright turquoise blues, hot pinks, soft yellows, fire engine reds, black, silver, and white. All of the patterned papers were fairly light weight and had a bar code at the bottom with the paper name, number, and something which I thought was pretty cool which was a smaller picture of the paper pattern. Three of the papers were intricately decorated with silver foil and really added a unique and dazzling element when paired with the other papers! Each of the papers were created to look distressed and contained patterns like stars, diamonds, glowing polka dots, stripes, aces, Vegas words and more.
I knew I wanted to incorporate several of the collection papers on my first layout, but I wanted them to serve more as page embellishments, so I used a large circle punch on three of them. The Vegas Night foil and Hot Hot Hot papers were filled with sparkly foil and just gorgeous! I loved how the Vegas Night Foil contained small amounts of pink and blue, and really helped to showcase all the other colors. I dressed up each of the paper circles using chipboard, glitter glue, journaling, a rhinestone brad, and the Las Vegas Stickers. I thought the Las Vegas Words stickers had just about every saying I could ask for and they added the perfect touch to the page.

Title: Vegas Bound
Products used:
Patterned Paper (Sandylion: Vegas Night Foil, Vegas Lights, Suits Me Well, & Hot Hot Hot)
Stickers (Sandylion: Las Vegas Sticker & Las Vegas Words)
Chipboard (Heidi Swapp)
Glitter Glue (Ranger)
Pen (Uniball)
Paint (Ranger)
Notebook paper (Personal Stash)
Rhinestones (Heidi Swapp, and Wal-mart)
Kraft cardstock (Hobby Lobby)
Adhesive (Adhesive Tech, Permanent Bond Glue Runner)
I thought the kraft cardstock really coordinated beautifully with all of the colors in the Vegas papers, so I decided to use it as the background for my second layout as well. Apparently, Sandy lion researched the collection colors well, because I had a ton of pictures from Vegas and almost all of them coordinated with this collection! I kept the Tinsel Town paper as the main focus paper, and cut out page embellishments from the Las Vegas Stripe and Casino Chips paper. I loved how easy the Las Vegas Words stickers made it to dress up the page. They were colorful and sparkly and can easily be to replace journaling if needed. I completed the layout by adding some journaling and silver glitter dots.

The Sandylion Vegas collection is not only beautiful, but it's so much fun to create with! Sandylion has stepped it up by adding foil to the papers and glitter on the stickers, and I thought the collection really had it all as far as the Vegas theme is concerned. There were actually five different papers in this collection that could easily be used for any theme like boy, girl, holidays, romance, etc... This review has inspired me to finally go back and finish scrapping my Vegas pictures and I plan on using the rest of my Sandylion Vegas collection to do it!
Review by AndreaVacations are always fun to scrapbook, so when the Las Vegas Collection from Sandylion popped up for review, I took the opportunity to work with the papers and stickers all Vegas themed. I knew it would be fun and I was right!
There are eight 12" x 12" patterned papers in the Collection, single-sided and on the mid to light weight for the paper. What is so fun about the patterns is the retro Vegas feel to them! The classic Vegas curly lettering, card suits and poker chips remind you of the days of the Rat Pack, lounge acts and the Mob! Three of the patterns have beautiful foil accents, a bit understated but definitely there. The colors of black, red, cyan and yellow are prominent throughout with a nice distressed accent on the edges and bold patterns.
Two 4" x 12" sticker sheets are also themed to the Collection. Lots of sparkle from glitter infused into the sticker and more retro Vegas icons like poker chips and cards bring the stickers right into the forefront. One sheet has clear stickers with the full color images practically disappearing into the background paper. The other sheet contains mostly words and phrases heard in Las Vegas like "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas", "wanna bet?" and "let it ride". It all adds to the fun of the Collection.
One of my all-time favorite trips was going to Las Vegas with my boyfriend, mom and aunt. We had a great time and as you can see, my mom had a blast on the slot machines! This Collection was perfect for documenting that fun time. The festivity of the patterns echoed our moods throughout the visit. I added some extra "bling" to the circles on the page for even a little more sparkle. The paper was easy to mix and match, trim and layer.

I quickly figured out that the paper doesn't need to be used exclusively for Las Vegas memories. I loved the foil accents on the black and red papers, so they worked well for covering this puzzle piece. The paper adhered to the piece with a single layer from the tape runner and I doubt it's coming off any time soon! Sanding the edges really tacked it down well also. I trimmed apart one of the larger sticker phrases to make the one I have here work for the altered piece. A couple matching embellishments and voila! an altered puzzle piece!

I really had fun working with this Collection and feel that Sandylion captured the essence of Las Vegas with their colors and patterns. The foil accents were a great touch backing up the nickname "Tinsel Town". I would like to see the papers a little thicker, making them rigid enough to work as a background sheet. I won't be detered by that one small detail and plan to use this paper in a lot of fun projects going forward. For the trips to Las Vegas, poker nights and parties in your memories, this Collection will more than serve the purpose!
Review by PennySandylion's new Las Vegas collection is so fun and vibrant with its bright blue, red, yellow, pink and black color scheme. Everything you see here has a playful look and feel.
The collection includes eight patterned papers. Five of them are plain: (1) Stripe with bold stripes in all of the colors, (2) Las Vegas with Vegas-themed words in all colors on a bright yellow background, (3) Casino Chips which has a pattern of casino chips in all of the collection's colors, (4) Vegas Lights with dots in blue, red, pink and yellow on a black background, and (5) Suits Me Well, small black clubs and spades and red hearts and diamonds on a bright blue background. Three of the patterned papers have foil accents -- (6) Hot, Hot, Hot in pink and (7) Vegas Night in black which both have hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs and swirl images in silver foil and (8) Tinsel Town has "Las Vegas" written throughout in black foil on a white background. The papers retail for $.65 each for the plain papers and $.99 each for the foiled papers.
Also included in my review package were the Las Vegas Words and Las Vegas Icons 4" x 12" sticker sheets with glitter accents ($1.99 each). The words stickers say everything you can imagine about Vegas -- from Elvis, to Show Girls, to "Only in Vegas" -- it's all there. The icons sticker sheet has dice, cards. the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, a slot machine and more images associated with Las Vegas.
Though not included in my review package, the Las Vegas collection also has an epoxy sticker sheet with 14 images that retails for $2.99.
All of these would work perfectly with Las Vegas travel photos. I always enjoy seeing how I can stretch a collection so I didn't let the fact that I had no Las Vegas photos stop me from creating. In this project I chose pictures of me and my family enjoying a board game. I used the Stripe, Las Vegas Words, Vegas Night and Suit Me Well patterned papers and one of the sticker words--fabulous--from the Words sticker sheet. I also cut out one of each suit from the Hot, Hot, Hot patterned paper and placed it along the left side of my page.

Review by ReneeSandylion Sticker designs is one of the most widely recognized scrapbook companies in the industry. They have been in the industry for many years and are widely recognized as a leader is mainstream papers and stickers. Most scrapbook venues offer a variety of papers and stickers produced by them.
For this review, I received a collection of papers and stickers from the Las Vegas collection of products. I received two sheets of Las Vegas themed stickers and two sheets each of the following papers:
- Tinsel town
- Casino Chips
- Las Vegas Phrase
- Vegas Lights
- Suits Me Well
- Vegas Night Life
- Hot, Hot, Hot
- and Las Vegas Stripes
The papers are bright, happy colors done in primary colors. They are themed to fit all activities involved with Las Vegas, including card games, slot machines and other “Vegas” type activities. Consequently, when I initially saw this collection, I was stumped for what I could do to showcase the products. We are not a gambling family, and do not participate in most Las Vegas activities. However, when I looked past the theme, I discovered that I really liked the paper colors, patterns and distressing in the papers.
For my first project, I selected the Suits Me Well paper as a background paper, largely because I loved the bright blue and small patterns. I coupled that with the Las Vegas Stripes and Vegas Night Life for a very classic boy look.

For my second project, I decided to make a blank card for my children to use as thank you card for their “Granny” who loves to hang out at the casino with her friends. I used pieces from three different sheets of the papers. I used sections from Las Vegas Words, Las Vegas Stripes, and Las Vegas Nights coupled with several stickers from the two sticker sheets. I used the Casino chips paper to make a matching envelope for the card

Sandylion is a solid company, with solid scrapbook products designed to meet the needs of the masses. The Las Vegas collection is no different. The colors are easy to match to your pictures. Likewise, the papers can be used for their intended theme with several being versatile enough to use on many layouts. Be sure to try these Sandylion papers.
Review by StephanieSandylion has out done themselves with their new line of papers and stickers. With the Las Vegas line, Sandylion again shows that they intend to be a major player in the scrapbooking market. Primarily known as a sticker company, Sandylion has always created detailed stickers in vibrant colors and designs, but in the last several years, they have embarked upon a scrapbook journey with pattern papers and high quality coordinating stickers.
For my review I received 2 cardstock sticker sheets and 12 single sided light weight patterned papers of Sandylion’s new line, Las Vegas. The papers evoke images of glitz and glamour, night life, shows, and casinos. The colors cover the spectrum – blue, red, yellow, green, with black and silver being prominent. One sticker sheet contains over 40 descriptive words and phrases in an assortment of styles, sizes and fonts while the other contains over 10 detailed images from Las Vegas (think slot machines, dice, roulette wheels). The stickers are embossed, and glitzy. They are of really nice quality, mix and match very well together, and peel easily from their backing. They can also be quickly be repositioned, if you need to move them - just don’t wait too long.
In sorting through the papers, my first thoughts were about the trip we took to Las Vegas in 1988!!!!!! Back then all we had to work with was construction paper and some limited stickers, so I knew I was going to love creating with this line. Using many of the papers and plenty of stickers, I was able to recreate the mood of our week in Vegas 20 years ago, and boy did it bring back memories. Using some word stickers in my journaling block added some extra WOW to what is usually "just the facts". It helped the journaling come alive.

I then decided to create some tags. Using an assortment of papers and stickers, I created some funky tags about Vegas that can easily be used on a layout, or even laminated and used as luggage tags! Very quick and easy.
